Giving Feedback

SBI Feedback — Quick Primer

What SBI is

SBI = SituationBehaviorImpact. A simple way to give feedback that stays specific and fair.

Why it works

The brain treats vague feedback like a threat. SBI removes the guesswork with concrete moments, observable actions, and real effects.

How to use it

Pick a moment (e.g., “This morning’s 9:00 call”). Name the behavior (“you interrupted twice”). State the impact (“we missed Jordan’s input, meeting ran long”). Finish with the next step (“pause, then invite Jordan in”).

Get sharp with the game

Practice by dragging the right SBI pieces into place for 5 scenarios. You’ll earn points for accuracy, lose points for guesses, and build speed under a timer. Replay to beat your best and share your score.

How to play: Drag the correct Situation, Behavior, and Impact tiles into the slots for each scenario. Score +5 for every correct drop, −1 for a wrong attempt. Beat the timer, finish all five, and challenge a friend. (All text uses slate, not black.)
